The main duties of my position are:

• To service and advise the Association of Quality nurseries in Scotland
• To support members and others to promote and improve the standard and availibilty of Early Years Care and Education
• To promote the Association and expand membership
• To support and promote the development of multi-agency working by operating in partnership with other organisations in the public, private and voluntary sector, including Scottish Pre-School Play Association and Scottish Childminding Association
• To identify, organise and promote staff training and career development opportunities
• To develop and maintain positive and effective working links with the Care Commission, Scottish Social Services Council, Local Authorities and Scottish Parliament
• To promote and raise the profile of career opportunities in Early Years Childcare and Education
• To provide regular newsletters and website information updates to the membership
• To provide support and advice to individual members as appropriate
