SCSWIS Coming

The Public Services Reform (Scotland) Bill received Royal Assent on 28 April 2010. This established a new scrutiny body, Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (SCSWIS) which will take on the existing responsibilities of the Care Commission and SWIA along with responsibility for leading on the inspection or services to protect children, currently undertaken by HMIe and the inspection of the integration of children's services.
